2019/2020 Basketball Season

Registration for the 2019/2020 Boys Basketball season for House (grades 1-5), Southwest (grades 6-12) and Travel (grades 4-8) opens on August 1. Make sure to mark your calendars.

WBBA Board Openings

The WBBA is seeking to fill two board positions for the upcoming season, which are the roles of Tournament Director and SW Program Director.  We have listed the job descriptions for both roles below,  If you are interested please complete the registration form found here. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WBBA_Volunteer

Tournament Director – This role will plan and execute the annual Wayzata Boys Basketball Tournament set in late February of each season.  Responsibilities for this role will include oversight of all tournament operations, determining volunteer work schedules and processing team registrations.  This role will be assisted by all members of the board as well as a dedicated Tournament Assistant.    

SW Program Director (Grades 9-12) – This role will oversee the Southwest Program for grades 9-12.  Responsibilities include team formation, securing Head Coaches and overseeing our participation in the SW league.  This role will be assisted by the SW Program Director for grades 6-8. 

The deadline for submission is July 15, 2019. Please note that board positions are a three year commitment. This is a year-round working board and we currently meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

SUMMER OFFERINGS

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

Trojan Power - Basketball

Trojan Power Registration is now open and there is a session for 7-8th (Grades based on 2019-20 school year) grade boys basketball players from 11:00am-12:30pm.  This leads right up to our summer skill workout sessions that are from 12:30-2:00pm.  Trojan Power will end a little early to allow for a short snack or lunch break if wanted.  Strength training for basketball can be a big help in improving your game and players are encouraged to take part if able.  Go Trojans!
