Team Formation: There are no player evaluations for 2nd grade. Teams are grouped by school as much as possible and will be handled on a first come first serve basis, per registration submissions. Coaches and teams will be formed and notified of their rosters by Monday, October 19 with practices scheduled to start the week of November 2 for 2nd grade. Please see each grade's page for more details about the league, rules, etc.
Coaches meeting and equipment pickup are scheduled for October 21. It will start with equipment handouts followed by a quick meeting.
Practice Schedule: Practices start the week of November 2 and will take place one night a week, on random nights each week, for approximately 1 hour between 6-9 pm. Practice night requests are not accepted. An additional practice will be scheduled until Saturday games begin on Saturdays November 7, 14 and 21. Practices will be scheduled as the season progresses.
Game Schedule: Games will start December 5 and run through February 20. December games will be 3 on 3. January-February games will be 4 on 4. There will be no 5 on 5 games for 2nd grade. Game schedule will be set at the start of the season.
Photos will be Saturday December 5th location TBD.
Uniform: All players will receive a reversible jersey.
Coaches: The Wayzata House basketball program relies on parent volunteers. Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team and indicate it on your child's registration. Coaches will be provided sample coaching plans and drills in addition to a Wayzata coaches shirt.
